PRICING
PROJECT START FEE: $150 (First hour)
This is the cost to start a project. If your project is extremely simple, or takes less than an hour to complete, this will be the total cost.
HOURLY CHARGE: $100/HOUR (After first hour)
This a charge that starts on hour 2, and goes up in increments of 15 minutes. for example, if a project takes 1 hr 45 min, that would be $150 (first hour) +$75 (Hourly charge) for a total of $225.
REVISION: $80/HOUR
If you've already done a project with me, and you later find the CAD model or drawing is insufficient or missing a feature, I will revise the model AND drawing for you at a rate of $80/hour, also billed in 15 minute increments.
TIMELINES
Your project will be quoted differently depending on how long it will take to complete it. To give you an idea of how long certain projects take, I've include a few examples below with my recorded hours and the aspects of each that contributed to their time requirements.
Mouse Cookie Cutter
KEY FACTORS
Time: 1-2 hours ($150-$300)
- Single Part
- Designed with 3D printing in mind.
- Simple Geometry
- No requirements for external fitments, threads, spacing, etc.
NASA Mug lid
KEY FACTORS
Time: 3-6 hours ($300-$600)
- Single Part
- Designed with 3D printing in mind.
- Complex curves and shapes
- Minimum requirements for external fitments, (fits a rubber seal in track, slides into a typical 4" Mug, and fits a typical straw)
IntsaPot Stackable Shelves
KEY FACTORS
Time: 10-16 hours ($1000-$2000)
- Multiple parts/assemblies
- Designed for metal manufacturing, bending and cutting.
- Sheet metal construction.
- Multiple requirements for external and internal fitments, (fits inside an InstaPot, identical construction allows shelves to collapse into eachother)
-Requires bend callouts and assembly instructions in drawings along with DXF's for laser cutting.
Metal Housing
KEY FACTORS
Time: 20-30 hours ($2000-$4000)
- Multiple parts/assemblies
- Designed for metal manufacturing, bending and cutting.
- Sheet metal construction.
- Many requirements for external and internal fitments
-Uses many COTS (Commercial of-the-shelf) components like screws, washers, cam locks, hinges and seals.
-requires bend callouts, weldment callouts, and assembly instructions in drawings along with DXF's for laser cutting.
